🍫 Fudgy Homemade Brownies

If you love rich, chocolatey desserts, this brownie recipe will become your new favorite indulgence. These brownies are everything they should be — crispy on the edges, gooey in the center, and packed with melted white and dark chocolate swirls. A simple recipe that feels a little fancy, perfect for sharing (or not 😉).

🕒 Prep Time: 10 mins | 🍳 Cook Time: 25–35 mins | 🍽 Serves: 8–10 pieces

🌿 Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 block white chocolate
  • 1 block dark chocolate
  • A handful of nuts (optional — walnuts, macadamias, or pistachios)

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Melt the butter, then add the sugar and mix well. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and stir in the vanilla essence.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Add the melted butter and sugar mixture, stirring until smooth.
  6. Roughly chop about one-third of each chocolate block and add them to the batter along with nuts (if using).
  7. Using a double boiler (bowl over boiling water), melt the remaining white and dark chocolate separately.
  8. Grease and line a baking tin with baking paper.
  9. Pour the batter into the tin and spread evenly.
  10. Drizzle or pour the melted white and dark chocolate over the top and lightly swirl them through the mixture — don’t overmix!
  11. Bake for 25–35 minutes, depending on your preference:
    • 25 mins → soft and fudgy 💞
    • 35 mins → more cake-like 🍰
  12. Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  13. Optionally, dust with icing sugar for a classic finish.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days — if you can resist them that long 😄

🍬 Serving Tip

Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce for extra decadence!
