Total Time: 20 mins
Serves: 24 small cups

๐Ÿฅฃ Introduction

Honey Joys are a classic, crispy, and golden treat loved by both kids and adults!
Traditionally made with Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, you can make them healthier using Weeties 99% Whole Grain (4.5-star health rating).
They’re perfect for school snacks, tea-time treats, or a quick homemade dessert.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 200 g Kellogg’s Corn Flakes or 510 g Weeties 99% Whole Grains
(If you’re making a smaller batch, use 4 cups of either cereal.)

  • Butter (about 90–100 g)

  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup or Sugar

  • 2 tablespoons Honey

Optional Toppings:

  • Sunflower seeds

  • Pumpkin seeds

  • Sesame seeds

  • Dried cranberries

  • Choco chips or any favorite toppings

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).

  2. Line a 24-hole patty pan (muffin tray) with paper cases.

  3. In a saucepan, melt together butter, maple syrup (or sugar), and honey over medium heat.

  4. Stir until the mixture becomes frothy and golden.

  5. Gently pour the syrup over your chosen cereal (Corn Flakes or Weeties) in a large mixing bowl.

  6. Mix carefully using a spatula — be gentle so the flakes don’t break.

  7. Spoon the mixture quickly into the paper cases before it hardens.

  8. For extra flavor, sprinkle your favorite toppings — seeds, cranberries, or chocolate chips.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until slightly golden.

  10. Cool completely before serving. They’ll crisp up beautifully as they cool.

๐ŸŒŸ Tips & Variations

  • You can use Weeties for a crunchier and higher-fiber version.

  • For a festive twist, add colored sprinkles or melted chocolate drizzle once cooled.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
